The Finnish Security Intelligence Service (Supo) is an agency of the Ministry of the Interior that operates in Finland and abroad. Its mission is to ward off and combat the most serious threats to national security.
Supo is headed by a Director supported by three Deputy Directors. The Service has nine departments.

Suojelupoliisi has grown from a small and subdued agency into an international security and intelligence service with a staff of more than four hundred people.
